About Us

Zeal Education consists of two Private Limited Companies and a Trust.

The Private Limited Companies conduct student programs and teacher interaction programs, while the Trust conducts CSR programs and other charitable programs.

Ms. Sandhya Sitaram and Dr. B R Sitaram are the Directors and Trustees of the companies and the trust respectively

 

SANDHYA SITARAM

Ms. Sandhya Sitaram is a seasoned pedagogist and a gold medallist (M.Sc.) from Bangalore University. She began her teaching career as a Zoology lecturer at MES College, Bangalore, before transitioning to computer programming education for engineering students.

She has held key roles in reputed institutions, including serving as Senior Faculty and Technical Head at NIIT’s Ahmedabad centre. Her passion for education led her to shift focus to working with children, and for over two decades, she has been running the Thinking Skills Club, pioneering the integration of computers into children's education.

Ms. Sitaram has also contributed as a consultant in educational software development. For the past ten years, she has been actively involved with schools as a consultant, conducting workshops for teachers and students that focus on Multiple Intelligences and the development of 21st-century thinking skills. Additionally, she regularly conducts similar workshops at the Ahmedabad Management Association.

Dr. B R SITARAM

Dr. Sitaram holds a Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics from the University of Delhi. He served as a scientist at the Physical Research Laboratory from 1983 to 1996 and later as the Director of the Vikram A. Sarabhai Community Science Centre from 1996 to 2002.

His primary interests lie in science and mathematics education, as well as the integration of computers into learning. He was one of the chief architects of the computer education syllabus for Standards VIII to X in the state of Gujarat and served as the subject expert for the corresponding textbooks. He also contributed as a member of the State-Level Implementation Committee for this initiative.

Dr. Sitaram has served on several national-level science education committees under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, New Delhi, and is a Fellow of the Gujarat Science Academy.
